开车时，可将阀的调节螺钉逐步松动直至起跳为止。随着泵的排出运动将油腔中的气体排出，应起跳数次。当泵内产生的压力达到工作压力时，油腔的油不应从阀中溢出；当泵内产生的压力达到工作压力的1.1~1.3倍时(其中大值的排压应在1MPa以内），阀应迅速开启，使泵内压力不再升高。此时，锁紧阀调节螺栓上的锁紧螺母，阀调节完毕。c).在阀起跳排气的同时，在柱塞吸入运动中作短时补油。若油量补充过多，将会产生振动和冲击声，应在柱塞排程时，轻压补油阀杆排出多余的油，直至泵运行平稳为止。
